Royal Legacy

Hunting in France has its roots in the great monarchies, particularly flourishing during the reigns of Francois I and Louis XIV. The latter, known as the Sun King, was a passionate hunter who transformed the majestic Château de Chambord into an iconic royal hunting ground, surrounded by high walls to protect the abundant wildlife in the forest.

The Menars estate, one of the exclusive estates offered by Chasse Royale, is also deeply intertwined with French history. It was a cherished retreat of Madame de Pompadour, a key figure at the court of Louis XV, who left her mark on these lands with her spirit of refinement, culture, and art. Today, Chasse Royale honours this rich legacy by offering an experience that combines historical grandeur with a profound respect for nature.

Hunting tradition

Following luxury royal traditions, Chasse Royale offers exclusive hunting experiences on historic and enclosed estates such as Menars, evoking the ancient hunting grounds of Chambord and Versailles. Our focus is on wild boar hunting, a strong and valiant animal that represents a true challenge.

The main hunting method is the driven hunt, where courageous beaters, accompanied by dogs, drive the wild boar towards elevated stands. There, hunters, strategically guided, enjoy an adrenaline-filled experience. These hunts not only revive a centuries-old tradition but also ensure a unique connection between history, nature, and adventure.
